This book has told the truth about social media and how it can destroy and break down relationships that are suppose to be strong. You have done it again with another awesome book
In this day and age, everyone uses social media of some type. We use social media for our own purposes. Whether it is to connect with family and friends, networking, joining one of the millions of groups, etc, a majority of us have a social media outlet that we participate in heavily.
Rochelle is a loving wife and career woman. She is faithful to her husband despite his cheating ways. She has remained in her marriage with Delvin because she loves him. Rochelle joins Bookface to interact with old friends and family. While entertaining herself on Bookface, she also starts back writing. She uses the writing as therapy. She writes about her life and uses the writing to release emotions. This sets off a chain of events that she was not ready for at all. Rochelle joins a few book clubs on Bookface and eventually joins a group called Freak Book Lovers. Yet again she is opening doors and does not know what is behind the door. She meets an author on the page, Bo'Monie. He hits her up in her private messages and from there things change. Rochelle and Bo'Monie engage in friendly conversation until the wee hours of the morning, when her husband Delvin comes home. Her husband is intoxicated and rapes her. Rochelle has been violated in the worst of ways and by someone who pledged to love her and not do her any harm.
Rochelle knows that her husband Delvin is cheating on her but she can't seem to catch him, until one day she comes home early. Delvin opened a can of worms that he cannot close. Bo'Monie sends Rochelle a message that comes right in time and takes the murderous thoughts right out of her mind. He invites her to Chicago and she accepts. She goes and they have a glorious time. At the end of the weekend, Bo'Monie decides that he does not want to see Rochelle anymore. She became furious and rightly so, seeing as she put her marriage into jeopardy by going on the trip.
Rochelle meets several women who have been treated like she was by Bo'Monie. They form a support group of sorts to help each other deal with the hurt. Sabrina, Paula, and Melanie all had a relationship with Bo'Monie that started on Bookface. They are looking to get revenge for the hurt he inflicted on their feelings. They come together and write a tell-all book about their experiences with Bo'Monie. Bo'Monie gets a copy of the book and decides that he needs to make some changes in his life. He starts making changes and time goes by before he reaches out to Rochelle.
Some parts were predictable but I still enjoyed the story. This book is definitely in need of some major editing. There was a great deal of errors that made the book hard to read sometimes and I am rating this three stars.
Loved this book but u must be careful the Internet is not the solution for any situation this was my first read from this author and it won't be the last great job
Quick read. It held my attention throughout and had lots of twists and turns.
